Blackworks is preparing to transform Madrid into a dark techno playground this Halloween. Taking place on October 30 and 31, 2026, at La Nueva Cubierta de Leganés, “The Purgatory” will deliver 24 hours of hard techno, schranz and hardcore across two nights, featuring some of the most powerful names in the international underground scene.

Madrid is getting ready for one of the most anticipated hard techno events of the autumn season as Blackworks returns with an ambitious Halloween celebration.

Titled Halloween: The Purgatory, the two-day event will take over La Nueva Cubierta de Leganés on Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31, bringing together thousands of electronic music enthusiasts for an immersive experience inspired by the darker side of rave culture.

With a projected attendance of 20,000 ravers across the weekend, the event promises 24 hours of music, an extensive international lineup and a large-scale audiovisual production.

Two Nights, Two Dark Experiences

Blackworks has developed a distinctive concept for this year’s Halloween celebration, transforming the venue into an industrial-inspired electronic purgatory.

Each night will introduce a different atmosphere.

Friday, October 30, will feature The Darkest Night of the Year, setting the tone for an intense journey through industrial techno, schranz and high-energy electronic music.

Saturday, October 31, will continue with Requiem, a second chapter designed to bring the Halloween experience to its conclusion.

The production will feature elaborate stage structures, lighting installations, visual effects and Halloween-inspired scenery.

Two giant three-dimensional claws will dominate the stage design, forming the centerpiece of an audiovisual environment created specifically for the event.

Musically, the experience will focus on powerful rhythms, with much of the programming exploring tempos around 155–160 BPM and beyond.

Each session will run from 6 PM until 6 AM the following morning, delivering 12 hours of electronic music per night.

6EJOU, Angerfist, SNTS and Vendex Lead the Lineup

The musical programming brings together an extensive selection of internationally recognized artists alongside established names from Spain’s underground scene.

Among the standout performers are 6EJOU, Angerfist, SNTS, Luciid, Vendex and Dexphase, artists associated with different interpretations of hard techno, industrial sounds and hardcore.

Dutch hardcore heavyweight Angerfist is one of the most recognizable names on the lineup, bringing decades of experience and an intense performance style to the Madrid event.

Meanwhile, 6EJOU and SNTS represent the darker and more industrial side of contemporary techno, combining aggressive percussion with atmospheric and distorted electronic textures.

Luciid and Vendex will also contribute their distinctive approaches to harder electronic music, while Blackworks regular Dexphase returns as part of the event’s programming.

The lineup additionally features A.N.I., SANTØS, Felicie, Callush, Remco Beekwilder, Tarkno, KARAH, Klofama, Negitiv, Raxeller, Toxic Machinery and several other performers.

Special back-to-back performances are also part of the program, bringing different artists together for exclusive sets.

The combination of established international performers and artists from the newer hard techno generation reflects Blackworks’ commitment to connecting different areas of the underground electronic music scene.

A Large-Scale Production Designed for Hard Techno

Beyond the lineup, Blackworks has become known for creating events where the visual environment plays an important role in the overall experience.

The Purgatory continues that approach with a production designed around dark imagery, powerful lighting and large-scale stage elements.

The Halloween theme will extend throughout the venue, with attendees encouraged to embrace costumes or the darker fashion traditionally associated with Blackworks events.

Black clothing, futuristic sunglasses, industrial accessories and cyberpunk-inspired outfits have become recognizable elements of the brand’s audience.

However, the event does not impose a specific dress code, allowing attendees to express themselves freely.

The combination of music, lighting and stage design aims to create an immersive environment that extends beyond a conventional nightclub experience.

Blackworks Continues Its Expansion Across Europe

Since its creation, Blackworks has developed into one of Spain’s most recognizable brands within the hard techno scene.

Founded in Madrid, the project has grown through events focused on powerful electronic music, industrial aesthetics and an underground-inspired identity.

Over the years, Blackworks has expanded beyond the Spanish capital, organizing events in different regions of Spain and international destinations including London and Basel.

Its growth has coincided with the increasing popularity of harder electronic music styles, particularly among younger audiences.

Following the pandemic, hard techno, industrial techno and schranz experienced renewed attention across European club culture.

Faster tempos, aggressive kick drums and rave-inspired aesthetics began reaching larger audiences, influencing festival programming and the development of new event concepts.

Blackworks became closely associated with that movement, developing a recognizable identity through its musical direction and audiovisual productions.

Seven years after its beginnings, the brand continues expanding its presence while maintaining a strong connection to Madrid’s electronic music community.

Madrid Prepares for a Halloween Weekend Dedicated to Rave Culture

The upcoming event arrives during one of the busiest periods of the year for nightlife in Madrid.

While Halloween traditionally brings a wide selection of club parties and themed celebrations, Blackworks is offering an experience aimed specifically at fans of harder electronic music.

The two-day format allows the organizers to present an extensive selection of artists while developing a different musical atmosphere for each night.

La Nueva Cubierta de Leganés provides the setting for this large-scale production, welcoming ravers from Madrid and other parts of Spain.

For fans of hard techno, schranz and hardcore, Halloween: The Purgatory is shaping up to be a major date on the autumn electronic music calendar.
