Los Angeles is preparing for one of its most ambitious electronic music Halloween celebrations as THE MAZE returns on October 31. Moving from Union Station to the city’s Arts District, the immersive block party will feature a live performance from The Blaze, DJ sets from Claude VonStroke and Arcade Fire, and a special tribute to late French electronic music producer Kavinsky.
Los Angeles’ electronic music nightlife scene is preparing for a major Halloween celebration.
On Saturday, October 31, 2026, THE MAZE will return for its third edition, transforming part of Downtown Los Angeles’ Arts District into an immersive electronic music experience.
Presented by nightlife promoters SBCLTR and Minimal Effort, the event follows two sold-out editions at Union Station.
This year, the organizers are introducing a larger concept, combining live electronic performances, underground DJ sets, interactive installations and theatrical entertainment.
The celebration will take place around 613 Imperial Street, offering an indoor-outdoor environment with two stages and multiple areas designed for exploration.
The Blaze, Claude VonStroke and Arcade Fire Lead the Lineup
French electronic duo The Blaze will headline the event with a live performance.
Known for their atmospheric productions and cinematic audiovisual approach, the duo have developed an international following through music that combines emotional melodies, electronic rhythms and visual storytelling.
Their performances frequently explore the relationship between sound and imagery, making them a natural fit for THE MAZE’s immersive concept.
American house music producer Claude VonStroke will also appear.
As the founder of Dirtybird Records, VonStroke has played an influential role in the development of contemporary American house music.
His distinctive approach combines bass-driven rhythms, unconventional sounds and a playful underground identity.
Another notable addition is a special DJ set from Arcade Fire.
The performance will introduce an alternative musical perspective to the event, connecting the Canadian group’s creative background with Los Angeles’ electronic nightlife scene.
Additional confirmed performers include Porky B2B Bones, Valou, Araminta and Oren.
Together, the lineup brings different areas of electronic music into a single Halloween experience.
A Special Tribute to Kavinsky
One of the most emotional elements of THE MAZE 2026 will be a tribute to French producer Kavinsky.
The influential artist, best known for his internationally recognized track Nightcall, died in July 2026 at the age of 50.
Kavinsky had originally been scheduled to perform at the event.
Following his death, the organizers announced plans to celebrate his musical legacy through a dedicated installation, themed environments and special tribute content.
The tribute will recognize an artist whose music became closely associated with cinematic electronic sounds, retro-futuristic imagery and the French Touch movement.
His work, particularly the music featured in the 2011 film Drive, helped introduce a generation of listeners to a distinctive combination of synthesizers, electronic production and 1980s-inspired aesthetics.
Los Angeles provides a particularly meaningful setting for the tribute because of the city’s visual and cultural connection to the film.
From Union Station to the Arts District
THE MAZE has developed a recognizable identity through its unconventional approach to Halloween nightlife.
After two successful editions at Union Station, the organizers are relocating the event to the Arts District.
The new location will provide additional space for an extensive program of music, installations and live entertainment.
Unlike a conventional nightclub event, THE MAZE is designed around exploration.
Visitors will encounter hidden pathways, different musical environments, roaming performers and theatrical elements throughout the site.
The concept combines electronic music with immersive entertainment, encouraging guests to discover different areas rather than remain in front of one stage throughout the evening.
Costumes are encouraged, reinforcing the Halloween atmosphere.
The event is scheduled to begin at 5:00 PM, with programming continuing into the evening.
Los Angeles Continues Expanding Its Electronic Nightlife Culture
The return of THE MAZE reflects the continued development of Los Angeles as a destination for electronic music.
The city’s nightlife scene has increasingly embraced large-scale warehouse parties, artist-led events and alternative venues.
Downtown Los Angeles and the Arts District have become particularly important areas for these experiences.
Industrial buildings, open-air spaces and unconventional event locations offer promoters opportunities to develop productions that differ from traditional nightclub formats.
THE MAZE combines several of these elements, bringing together international artists and local electronic music culture through a themed event.
Its move to a larger location represents another step in the growth of the concept.
