French electronic music duo Justice have officially been confirmed as the composers behind the original score of Grand Theft Auto VI. The announcement arrived alongside Rockstar Games’ new launch trailer and the release of ‘Flower in a Hurricane’, a major collaboration featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.

One of the most influential electronic music duos of the past two decades is preparing to enter the world of Grand Theft Auto.

Rockstar Games has officially confirmed that Justice, the French duo formed by Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay, composed the original score for Grand Theft Auto VI.

The announcement was made on October 15, 2026, alongside a new trailer for the highly anticipated video game.

To celebrate the reveal, Justice also released Flower in a Hurricane, a collaboration featuring an unexpected combination of internationally recognized musicians.

The track brings together Tame Impala, American singer SZA and Australian psychedelic rock group King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.

The production is featured in the new Grand Theft Auto VI trailer and will also appear on the game’s official soundtrack album.

For Justice, the announcement introduces another significant chapter in a career that has consistently connected electronic music with visual art, live performance and cinematic production.

Justice Will Create the Original Musical Score

The involvement of Justice represents a major development in Rockstar Games’ approach to music.

Throughout its history, Grand Theft Auto has become internationally recognized for its carefully selected radio stations and extensive licensed soundtracks.

However, the original score plays a different role.

Unlike songs broadcast through fictional radio stations, an original score provides music created specifically to support the game’s narrative, atmosphere and interactive experiences.

For GTA VI, Justice will be responsible for that original musical component.

Rockstar has not yet revealed the complete structure of the score or provided details about a potential standalone score album.

Nevertheless, the announcement confirms that the duo will play an important role in defining the sound of the game’s world.

‘Flower in a Hurricane’: An Unexpected Collaboration

Alongside the announcement, Justice introduced Flower in a Hurricane.

The new single features contributions from Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.

The combination brings together artists associated with electronic production, alternative rock, psychedelic music and contemporary R&B.

For Justice, collaborating across different musical styles is an established part of their creative identity.

Their productions frequently incorporate rock-inspired instrumentation, distorted synthesizers, disco influences and electronic rhythms.

Flower in a Hurricane continues that approach through a recording connected to the visual universe of Grand Theft Auto.

The track appears in Rockstar’s new trailer, introducing audiences to the sound that will accompany the game’s upcoming release.

It is also available as a standalone single.

From ‘Hyperdrama’ to the World of GTA VI

Justice have been among the most recognizable names in French electronic music since their breakthrough during the 2000s.

Their debut album, Cross, released in 2007, established a musical identity combining distorted electronic production, disco, rock and powerful rhythmic arrangements.

Tracks such as D.A.N.C.E., Genesis and Phantom helped introduce their distinctive sound to an international audience.

The duo subsequently expanded their discography through projects including Audio, Video, Disco, Woman and Woman Worldwide.

In 2024, Justice returned with their fourth studio album, Hyperdrama.

The project featured collaborations with several international artists, including Tame Impala.

Their single Neverender subsequently received the Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Recording in 2025.

The new involvement with GTA VI continues the duo’s interest in combining electronic music with ambitious visual and narrative projects.

Grand Theft Auto VI Will Feature 34 Original Soundtrack Tracks

Rockstar Games has also announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, a separate soundtrack project featuring 34 original recordings.

Scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, the collection brings together artists from different musical backgrounds.

Alongside Justice, the album includes contributions from Travis Scott, Yung Lean, Rauw Alejandro, Cardi B, Morgan Wallen, Keith Richards and other internationally recognized performers.

Another notable collaboration is Sexy Magic, featuring CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. and Étienne de Crécy.

The album demonstrates Rockstar’s ambition to create a broad musical identity for the fictional world of Leonida and its central destination, Vice City.

Importantly, the 34-track soundtrack album and Justice’s original score are separate musical components.

Although Flower in a Hurricane is connected to both announcements, Rockstar has not yet confirmed a release date for a complete score album.

Electronic Music Has Always Been Part of GTA Culture

Electronic music has maintained a strong presence throughout the Grand Theft Auto franchise.

Previous games introduced players to house, techno, electro, disco and other electronic sounds through radio stations and in-game music experiences.

Grand Theft Auto V featured a score created by several musicians and producers, including Tangerine Dream, the Alchemist, Woody Jackson and Oh No.

Its radio programming also introduced electronic artists to new audiences.

The relationship expanded further through GTA Online, particularly with nightclub experiences featuring international DJs.

For GTA VI, Rockstar is developing an even broader musical environment.

The game will feature radio stations exploring Latin music, house-influenced electronic sounds, hip-hop, rock and other genres.

With Justice confirmed as original score composers, electronic music will also contribute directly to the game’s cinematic and interactive identity.

A New Musical Era for Vice City

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The game follows protagonists Jason and Lucia through the fictional state of Leonida, including a modern interpretation of Vice City.

Its setting draws heavily on Florida’s visual and cultural identity, creating opportunities for an extensive variety of musical influences.

Justice’s combination of electronic production, dramatic arrangements and cinematic atmosphere makes the duo an important addition to the project’s creative team.

For electronic music audiences, the announcement also creates an opportunity to experience the duo’s work outside conventional albums and live performances.

Justice are officially confirmed as the original score composers for Grand Theft Auto VI, while their new single ‘Flower in a Hurricane’ is available now ahead of the game’s November 19 release.
