Dutch DJ and producer Mau P is expanding his influence beyond the DJ booth with the launch of Baddest Behaviour Records, a new imprint created to support emerging electronic music talent and bring underground club productions to an international audience.
Mau P has officially announced the launch of Baddest Behaviour Records, marking another major development in his rapidly growing career.
Unveiled on October 8, 2026, the new record label takes its name from his established Baddest Behaviour event series, which has developed into an internationally recognized brand through major performances, sold-out shows and a residency at Pacha Ibiza.
However, the project represents much more than an extension of his live events.
Through Baddest Behaviour Records, Mau P aims to create new opportunities for talented producers whose music deserves greater international exposure.
Giving Emerging Producers a Platform
The inspiration behind the new imprint comes directly from Mau P’s experiences as an emerging producer.
Before becoming one of the most recognizable names in contemporary house music, he relied on support from established DJs, record labels and industry professionals who believed in his productions.
Now, he wants to provide similar opportunities to the next generation.
The producer explained that he has received large amounts of unreleased music from artists over the years but previously lacked a dedicated platform through which to release and promote those records.
Baddest Behaviour Records will allow him to champion productions he believes in while maintaining creative control over the label’s musical direction.
Rather than concentrating exclusively on commercially successful trends, the imprint will prioritize distinctive sounds, originality and a strong connection to underground club culture.
The announcement places artist development at the center of the project, giving Mau P the opportunity to support musicians beyond his own releases and performances.
From ‘Drugs From Amsterdam’ to International Success
Mau P’s career experienced a significant breakthrough in 2022 with the release of Drugs From Amsterdam.
The track quickly became an international club favorite, receiving widespread support from DJs and attracting a large audience across streaming platforms.
Its success helped establish Mau P as an important figure in the modern house and tech house scene.
He subsequently released music through several respected labels, including John Summit’s Experts Only, Chris Lake’s Black Book Records and Solomun’s Diynamic.
His catalogue has continued expanding with tracks such as BEATS FOR THE UNDERGROUND, MERTHER, Like I Like It and his popular interpretation of Tame Impala’s The Less I Know The Better.
These releases helped develop his recognizable production identity, combining prominent basslines, energetic percussion, vocal samples and rhythmic arrangements designed for club environments.
The creation of his own label now allows him to use that experience to support other artists.
Baddest Behaviour Evolves Beyond the Dancefloor
Before becoming a record label, Baddest Behaviour was already an established event concept.
The project has hosted performances in major cities including New York, Miami and Los Angeles, allowing Mau P to develop a distinct musical identity through carefully selected lineups.
Its international expansion also brought the brand to Ibiza.
In 2026, Mau P returned to Pacha Ibiza for another summer residency, hosting Baddest Behaviour every Wednesday between August 5 and October 7.
The residency concluded just before the official announcement of his new record label.
By bringing the event series and recording activities together, Mau P is creating a wider platform around the music he supports.
The relationship between the two projects could allow emerging producers to receive exposure through both official releases and live performances, although specific artist opportunities have not yet been detailed.
What’s Next for Baddest Behaviour Records?
At the time of the announcement, Mau P had not revealed the label’s first official releases or confirmed its initial artist roster.
Additional information about upcoming music and submissions is expected to emerge as the project develops.
The launch also follows earlier comments from the producer about plans to expand his activities beyond touring, including work on a debut studio album.
For now, the focus is on building a record label capable of connecting original underground music with audiences around the world.
With his international profile continuing to grow, Mau P has an opportunity to transform Baddest Behaviour into a platform supporting both established artists and emerging producers.
The launch represents another step in his evolution from breakthrough DJ to a more influential figure in electronic music’s creative and business landscape.
Baddest Behaviour Records is now officially announced, with details of its first releases and artist signings still to come.
