French electronic music icon David Guetta and German producer Marlon Hoffstadt have officially released their first collaboration, ‘Caught Up’, bringing together euphoric trance influences, energetic house rhythms and a sound inspired by classic rave culture.
Two generations of electronic music have come together as David Guetta and Marlon Hoffstadt unveil their highly anticipated collaboration, Caught Up, released through Capitol Records.
Arriving on October 9, 2026, the single marks the first official release between the French superstar and the German artist, also widely known as DJ Daddy Trance.
Built around pitched-up vocals, driving house percussion and nostalgic dance music influences, Caught Up combines Guetta’s experience in creating global electronic hits with Hoffstadt’s energetic approach to modern trance and rave music.
The collaboration arrives during a particularly successful period for both artists, who continue expanding their influence across the international dance music scene.
First Revealed at UNVRS Ibiza
Before its official release, Caught Up made its live debut during David Guetta’s Galactic Circus residency at UNVRS Ibiza.
Marlon Hoffstadt joined Guetta on stage for a special performance, giving the audience an early preview of their collaboration.
The track quickly became one of the notable moments from the residency, connecting Guetta’s established festival sound with the faster, trance-inspired energy that has made Hoffstadt increasingly popular.
Galactic Circus completed its regular season on October 2, with James Hype and Liva K appearing on the closing lineup.
Guetta subsequently returned to UNVRS on October 9 for an additional closing performance featuring a specially developed visual production.
Marlon Hoffstadt Fulfills a Personal Ambition
For Hoffstadt, collaborating with David Guetta represents an important personal milestone.
The German producer has previously described growing up listening to Guetta’s music, making the opportunity to release a track together particularly meaningful.
The pair created Caught Up earlier in 2026, shortly before Ultra Music Festival in Miami.
Hoffstadt had been looking forward to sharing the production publicly since those initial studio sessions.
His involvement also highlights the growing influence of a younger generation of producers who are reintroducing classic trance, eurodance and rave elements into contemporary electronic music.
Through his DJ Daddy Trance identity, Hoffstadt has developed a recognizable sound that connects nostalgic dance music references with modern club production.
Two Artists Enjoying Major Success in 2026
The release follows several significant milestones for both producers.
David Guetta recently made history by securing the No. 1 position in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs 2026 ranking.
The achievement marked his sixth victory in the annual public poll, making him the first artist to reach the top position six times.
Guetta has also continued expanding his live productions, including his Monolith concept, which is scheduled to arrive at London’s O2 Arena in 2027.
Meanwhile, Hoffstadt has enjoyed a successful year of his own.
In August, he released Das Ist Daddy, a studio album that celebrates his relationship with the audience and explores the different musical influences that have shaped his career.
His growing international popularity was also reflected in DJ Mag’s 2026 ranking, where he appeared at No. 97 for the second consecutive year.
A Meeting Between House and Modern Trance
The collaboration reflects an increasingly visible trend within electronic music: the return of trance-inspired sounds to mainstream dancefloors.
While Guetta has spent decades moving between commercial dance music, house and his Future Rave concept, Hoffstadt has developed his reputation through high-energy productions influenced by classic European rave culture.
Caught Up brings these musical backgrounds together through energetic rhythms, vocal hooks and euphoric electronic elements.
Rather than representing a complete departure from either artist’s established sound, the single introduces a shared direction that connects different generations of electronic music.
With Caught Up now available through Capitol Records, David Guetta and Marlon Hoffstadt add another major collaboration to an already eventful year for the global dance music scene.
