Australian DJ and producer FISHER has been named the World’s No. 1 House DJ in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs 2026 poll, securing ninth place in the overall ranking following another successful year of international performances and his Ibiza residency.

FISHER continues to strengthen his position within the international electronic music scene after receiving the World’s No. 1 House DJ title in DJ Mag’s annual Top 100 DJs poll.

The Australian artist finished at No. 9 overall, remaining among the ten highest-ranked DJs worldwide despite moving down two places compared to 2025.

The results were revealed on October 6 during a special DJ Mag LIVE ceremony at UNVRS Ibiza, where David Guetta claimed the overall No. 1 position for a record-breaking sixth time.

For FISHER, the recognition follows another year of extensive touring, major festival appearances and continued success within the international house and tech house scene.

From ‘Losing It’ to Global Recognition

Born on Australia’s Gold Coast, FISHER originally pursued a career as a professional surfer before becoming one of electronic music’s most recognizable personalities.

His international breakthrough arrived in 2018 with Losing It, a tech house production that became a defining club record of its era.

The track introduced his energetic musical approach to a global audience, combining a distinctive bassline, repetitive vocal elements and a powerful dancefloor arrangement.

Since then, FISHER has continued developing his career through international performances and club-oriented productions.

His success has also contributed to the increasing visibility of tech house at major festivals, bringing a sound historically associated with underground clubs to much larger audiences.

An International Festival Season

Throughout 2026, FISHER performed at several major electronic music festivals.

His schedule included Tomorrowland, Creamfields, Ultra Europe, Escapade and FVDED In The Park.

The Australian producer also continued developing his own TRIIP Festival concept in Malta, expanding his activities beyond conventional headline DJ appearances.

His performances remain closely associated with high-energy house music, distinctive grooves and a strong connection with festival audiences.

Another Successful Ibiza Residency

One of FISHER’s most important projects of the summer was his residency at UNVRS Ibiza.

The residency brought together international artists from several areas of electronic music, including Loco Dice, KI/KI, Maceo Plex and Sally C.

The programming combined different interpretations of house, techno and underground electronic music, reflecting FISHER’s ability to connect with a diverse range of audiences.

His Ibiza presence has become an important part of his international career, providing a regular platform to showcase his music and invite other established performers.

Tech House Maintains Its Global Influence

FISHER’s recognition arrives during another significant year for artists associated with house and tech house.

The 2026 Top 100 DJs ranking also saw strong performances from John Summit, Mau P, Chris Stussy and Josh Baker, highlighting growing international audience support for club-oriented sounds.

Although DJ Mag’s annual ranking is based on public voting rather than a technical assessment of DJ performances, it remains one of the electronic music industry’s most widely discussed awards.

For FISHER, the World’s No. 1 House DJ title represents another milestone in a career that continues connecting underground-inspired productions with international festival culture.

With a place inside the overall Top 10 and an established global touring presence, the Australian producer remains one of house music’s most recognizable figures.
