Tomorrowland and Amazon Music have released the fifth installment of their documentary series ‘We Are Tomorrow’, spotlighting Ukrainian DJ Miss Monique and three inspiring stories that explore the powerful connection between music and personal transformation.
Tomorrowland continues to explore the human stories behind electronic music with a new chapter of We Are Tomorrow, its documentary series produced in collaboration with Amazon Music.
Moving beyond the festival’s spectacular stages and world-renowned performances, the latest edition takes viewers on an emotional journey through the experiences of individuals whose lives have been shaped by music.
The documentary premiered on September 23 in London, with Miss Monique attending the screening, alongside another presentation in Bangkok. It is now available to watch on Amazon Music, Prime Video, and YouTube.
Miss Monique: From Kyiv to Tomorrowland’s Mainstage
At the center of this year’s documentary is Ukrainian DJ and producer Miss Monique, who has become one of the most prominent figures in melodic techno and progressive house.
Her journey began in Kyiv, where she developed her distinctive musical identity and built an international following through her popular MiMo Weekly DJ series. During the COVID-19 pandemic, her online performances attracted millions of views, introducing her sound to audiences worldwide.
Alongside her growing popularity, she established Siona Records, creating a platform for her own productions and emerging electronic music talent.
However, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine dramatically changed her personal and professional life. Forced to leave her home country, Miss Monique continued pursuing her musical ambitions while navigating the uncertainty and emotional challenges of displacement.
Her determination eventually brought her to some of the world’s biggest electronic music stages, including Tomorrowland.
The documentary offers a personal look at this journey, highlighting her dedication, resilience, and enduring connection to Ukraine while revealing the challenges that exist behind an internationally successful DJ career.
Three Personal Stories United by Music
Beyond Miss Monique’s experiences, We Are Tomorrow introduces three Tomorrowland attendees whose stories demonstrate how music can influence lives in unexpected ways.
Olav, Fahbeer, and Luca each share deeply personal experiences, ranging from rediscovering a passion for photography to rebuilding a life in Bangkok and finding new opportunities through a radio competition.
Despite their different backgrounds, their stories share a common theme: music can provide hope, motivation, and a sense of belonging during life’s most difficult moments.
Rather than focusing exclusively on the festival itself, the documentary portrays Tomorrowland as a meeting place where individuals from different cultures and circumstances can connect through a shared passion for electronic music.
An Exclusive Release Through Tomorrowland Music
The documentary also features an exclusive musical contribution from Miss Monique.
The Ukrainian producer has created Million Miles Away (VIP Remix), an Amazon Music Original released through Tomorrowland Music specifically for this edition of the documentary.
The track adds another personal dimension to the project, connecting her musical identity with the experiences explored throughout the film.
With its fifth installment, We Are Tomorrow continues to expand its perspective beyond the festival experience, celebrating the people, emotions, and individual journeys that give electronic music its deeper meaning.
