David Guetta has officially secured the top position in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs 2026, becoming the first artist in the poll’s history to win the prestigious title six times.

French electronic music superstar David Guetta has achieved another remarkable milestone, retaining his position as the world’s No. 1 DJ in DJ Mag’s annual Top 100 DJs ranking for 2026.

The achievement places Guetta ahead of fellow electronic music icons Martin Garrix and Armin van Buuren, who have each claimed the title five times.

Having first reached the top of the ranking in 2011, Guetta subsequently won in 2020, 2021, 2023, and 2025 before securing his historic sixth victory this year.

More than four decades into his career, the French producer continues to demonstrate his influence across both commercial dance music and the international club scene.

A Career That Continues to Evolve

Throughout 2026, Guetta has maintained an impressive release schedule while exploring new creative directions and collaborations.

Among his latest projects is Awake Tonight, which reunites him with Afrojack and Sia. He has also introduced Men Machine, a collaborative project with German producer Marten Hørger, while continuing to develop his Future Rave sound alongside MORTEN.

Other notable collaborations include a remix of Gotye and Kimbra’s Somebody That I Used To Know with ARTBAT, as well as his participation in DNA (More Than A Game), the official anthem of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, alongside Andrea Bocelli, Megan Thee Stallion, and EJAE.

Despite his decades of experience, Guetta continues to embrace new influences, regularly working with emerging producers and artists from different musical backgrounds.

Ibiza Residencies and Record-Breaking Performances

The 2026 summer season marked another major success for Guetta, particularly in Ibiza, where he maintained two of the island’s most prominent residencies.

His Galactic Circus concept returned for its second season at [UNVRS], offering audiences a more club-oriented experience, while his legendary F**K ME I’M FAMOUS! residency continued attracting huge crowds at Ushuaïa Ibiza.

One of the standout moments of the season was his first-ever back-to-back performance with techno legend Carl Cox. Guetta also premiered Caught Up, an upcoming collaboration with Marlon Hoffstadt, during his [UNVRS] residency.

Outside Ibiza, his international touring schedule reached new heights.

Three sold-out performances at Stade de France in Paris attracted more than 240,000 fans, with special appearances from artists including Armin van Buuren, Afrojack, Black Coffee, Jennifer Lopez, Akon, Bebe Rexha, and Black Eyed Peas.

His ambitious Monolith production has also reached major venues and festivals, including Red Rocks and Coachella, alongside arena and stadium performances throughout Europe.

Looking ahead, Guetta is scheduled to bring his live production to London’s O2 in summer 2027 as part of the venue’s 20th-anniversary celebrations.

The 2026 Top 100 DJs Ceremony in Ibiza

DJ Mag revealed the 2026 results on October 6 during a special event at [UNVRS] Ibiza, marking the second consecutive year the awards ceremony has taken place at the venue.

The celebration featured performances from Lost Frequencies, Charlotte de Witte, Korolova, ANASTAZJA, and a back-to-back set from GORDO and Vintage Culture.

Guetta closed the event with a two-hour headline performance, celebrating his historic achievement in front of the Ibiza crowd.

Supporting the Next Generation of Electronic Music Talent

Beyond the awards, DJ Mag has continued its partnership with Bridges for Music, an organization dedicated to supporting young people from underserved communities through music education.

Artists included in the 2026 Top 100 DJs ranking have been encouraged to sponsor educational opportunities at the Bridges for Music Academy in Langa, South Africa.

The initiative builds on the success of the previous year’s fundraising campaign, which generated £170,832 in donations from 42 participating artists.

With six No. 1 titles, countless international performances, and an ongoing presence across multiple generations of dance music, David Guetta continues to strengthen his position as one of electronic music’s most influential figures.
