Spanish DJ and producer Indira Paganotto has been named the World’s No. 1 Psy DJ in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs 2026 poll, climbing ten positions to No. 26 overall. The achievement follows a remarkable year marked by her debut album, international festival performances and the global expansion of her ARTCORE brand.
Indira Paganotto has reached another major milestone in her electronic music career.
The Spanish artist has officially been recognized as the World’s No. 1 Psy DJ in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs 2026 poll, becoming the first recipient of the category award.
The results were announced on October 6 at UNVRS Ibiza, where the electronic music industry gathered to celebrate the latest edition of the international public-voted ranking.
Paganotto secured the No. 26 position overall, rising ten places from her previous ranking of No. 36 in 2025.
The recognition arrives during one of the most significant periods of her career, as her distinctive fusion of techno and psychedelic trance continues reaching international audiences.
From Underground Techno to a Global Psy-Techno Movement
Originally from Gran Canaria, Indira Paganotto has spent years developing a recognizable musical identity through powerful percussion, hypnotic synthesizers and psychedelic influences.
Her sound, frequently described as psy-techno, combines the intensity of peak-time techno with the rhythmic structures and atmospheric elements associated with psytrance.
The result is an energetic musical approach designed for large dancefloors while maintaining a strong connection to underground electronic music.
Over the years, Paganotto has established herself through performances at major clubs and festivals, gradually developing a dedicated international following known as her PSYFAMILY.
Her rise has also helped bring greater attention to psy-techno as a distinct musical style.
In January 2026, Beatport officially introduced Psy-Techno as a subgenre within its Techno (Peak Time / Driving) category.
The development represented an important step for producers and labels working within the sound, making it easier for audiences and DJs to discover music associated with the emerging movement.
For Paganotto, who has consistently championed psy-techno through her productions and events, the recognition reflects the genre’s expanding international visibility.
‘Arte Como Amante’: A Defining Debut Album
One of Paganotto’s biggest achievements of 2026 arrived on January 30 with the release of her debut studio album, Arte Como Amante.
Released through ARTCORE Records and [PIAS] Électronique, the project represents a deeply personal chapter in her artistic journey.
The streaming edition features 12 tracks exploring different musical influences, from intense psychedelic rhythms to more emotional and experimental compositions.
Among the album’s most recognizable productions are Crush, Black Magic, La Patrona, Warriors and This Is ARTCORE.
The title track also features legendary guitarist and producer Nile Rodgers, bringing together two artists from different musical generations.
The collaboration highlights Paganotto’s willingness to experiment beyond conventional electronic music boundaries.
The album’s development reflects a long creative process, with material and ideas accumulated throughout more than a decade of her career.
Rather than focusing exclusively on peak-time club productions, Arte Como Amante presents a broader interpretation of her musical identity.
Its release established an important foundation for the extensive international performances and projects that followed.
ARTCORE Takes Over Ibiza in 2026
Another defining chapter of Paganotto’s year was the continued development of ARTCORE, her record label and event platform.
The brand has become closely associated with the psy-techno movement, connecting original music releases with international performances and carefully curated festival programming.
During summer 2026, Paganotto hosted ARTCORE every Sunday at Hï Ibiza, taking control of the Club Room from May 31 until October 4.
The 19-week residency introduced the brand’s sound to an international clubbing audience.
Across the season, Paganotto invited artists representing different approaches to techno, including Ben Klock, SPFDJ, Chris Liebing, Anetha, 999999999 and Héctor Oaks.
The residency was part of a wider Sunday program that also featured Spanish electronic duo MËSTIZA in the Theatre on selected dates.
The collaboration brought different musical identities together under the same venue, creating a prominent platform for female-led electronic music programming.
A Special ARTCORE Takeover at UNVRS Ibiza
Just days after concluding her residency at Hï Ibiza, Paganotto brought ARTCORE to another major Ibiza venue.
On October 8, the artist hosted a special one-night event at UNVRS Ibiza.
The lineup featured AZYR, Anna Unusyan, I Hate Models, Kobosil and Paganotto herself.
The event marked an expansion of ARTCORE’s presence on the island, moving from its regular Club Room residency into a large-scale standalone showcase.
The programming brought together different interpretations of contemporary techno, from industrial sounds to high-energy psychedelic influences.
For ARTCORE, the event represented another opportunity to establish its identity beyond a conventional record label.
ARTCORE Reaches the Pyramids of Giza
The international expansion continued on October 9, when ARTCORE made its Egyptian debut at Starlight Festival.
The showcase took place at the No Sleep Giza Stage near the Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the world’s most recognizable historical locations.
The announced lineup included Paganotto alongside Charlie Sparks, BIIA, Paolo Ferrara, Valentinø, Reblok and Juno.
The appearance marked an important geographical milestone for ARTCORE, bringing its signature sound to North Africa.
Starlight Festival also featured internationally recognized electronic music artists including Adriatique, Charlotte de Witte, Michael Bibi, Enrico Sangiuliano and Vintage Culture.
The Egyptian showcase demonstrated how ARTCORE has evolved from a platform associated with Paganotto’s original music into an internationally touring electronic music concept.
Exploring New Sounds at Tomorrowland
Paganotto’s performances in 2026 have also featured musical experimentation.
At Tomorrowland, she introduced a new production described as psy-metal, combining psychedelic electronic music with elements inspired by metal.
The performance featured Harald Barrett, guitarist of Swedish metalcore band Imminence, joining her on the festival’s Mainstage.
The collaboration illustrated Paganotto’s interest in moving beyond conventional genre restrictions.
Rather than remaining exclusively within techno and psytrance, she continues experimenting with heavier musical textures and unconventional combinations.
Her international festival appearances throughout the year also included Awakenings and EDC Las Vegas.
What’s Next for Indira Paganotto?
Following her Ibiza season and recent international performances, Paganotto is preparing for another curated event in London.
On October 17, she will headline an outdoor ARTCORE-inspired showcase at The Cause.
The event will also feature Lee Ann Roberts, Estella Boersma and Antonio De Angelis.
The London performance continues her approach of combining headline DJ sets with carefully selected supporting artists.
With ARTCORE expanding internationally, her debut album now released and a new DJ Mag category award recognizing her influence, Paganotto enters the final months of 2026 with considerable momentum.
Her journey reflects more than the success of an individual DJ.
It also highlights the increasing international presence of psy-techno and the ability of independent artists to develop entire musical communities around their creative identities.
From Gran Canaria to Ibiza, Tomorrowland and the Great Pyramids of Giza, Indira Paganotto’s rise continues to demonstrate how far her distinctive sound and ARTCORE movement have travelled.
